Hitting the road with no cash is tough but it’s totally possible - hitchhike, couchsurf, cook your own food; if you really need some cash then get work on a farm, a construction site, in a hostel - do whatever you have to do to make your travel dreams a reality.

Grab some street food to eat with your fingers and a cold beer or go to restaurants that might not look like much from the outside but where you can see local people eating and enjoying their meals in. Not only will you save"

Firstly start with flexible dates for flights (and always book on a Tuesday - the cheapest day to travel), then look into volunteer projects like Workaway that offer free food and accommodation in exchange for a few hours work. I also love Couchsurfing for finding out about free events going on wherever you are. During the last 5 years of constant travel I have found quite a talent for getting everything on the cheap – and I reveal them all on my blog!"

Getting out in nature is free and gives you an amazing opportunity to get to know the beauty of the country's landscape. Heading to a city? There's countless free things to do - you just have to look for them so check the newspapers, talk to people, look online and just walk until you stumble across something awesome!"
EMILY LUXTON TRAVELS
We like Emily’s blog because we agree with her statement “Travel should be more about quality than quantity.” Her beautiful created blog with amazing pictures of all the countries where she has been is a colorado for every person who loves to travel as well. In a very personal way, she talks about her experiences of different countries and people she met. Her handy advices are helpful for all those who want to take on a new adventure and see places some us is dreaming of.
Emily's tip: ”My top tip for travelling on a budget is to think in the currency of the place you're travelling, rather than mentally converting back to your home currency. If you constantly compare prices with "back home", things will seem cheap which makes it easier to spend more than you need to. If you're thinking in the local currency, you'll be more inclined to haggle over that last 50p, and to order less in restaurants etc, which will make your money go further.”

Ruben's and Rachels's tip: "I have traveled around Asia with only 13-15 euros per day (two people) and Europe for 5 months, for only 400 Euros in total. And no, we didn't beg for money, and we definitely ate (and great food at that) everyday. I believe that if you want to travel, or for anything that you want in your life, money should never be an excuse. You'd have to go out and do it, unless you are willing to live your life regretting the things you haven't done. I might not travel in luxurious resorts all the time (and believe me I had occasionally), but going for my dreams, experiencing amazing culture, meeting new people, discovering new things and stretching out myself and my limits - all of these things are worth the same as any luxurious place, or actually, worth much more. And to me, living a life that I know I will not regret is the only advice any one needs. If you want something bad, you'll do anything to it. So go for your dreams. Hundreds have done it before you, so you know it's not impossible."

Many locations around the world have perfectly fine drinking water from the tap and even at airports when you cross security you can easily find water fountains. It's a little thing, but daily bottles of water can soon add up over time. My water bottle of choice is a Vapur as its durable and packs down to a small size and is perfect for travelling.”

Charlie's tip: "My best travel tip for travellers with only a small budget is to travel slow If you have the time to travel slowly, then your budget will benefit. Don't try to rush between places spending just 2 nights everywhere. Instead, research destinations and take a week (or even longer if you can!) to enjoy that area! You can get cheaper rates from hostels and accommodation rentals for longer stays. Consider staying in more local areas where local people live, as prices will be lower here too."
